In a couple of hours, my first taste of Preview Days begins. As I write this, I’m sitting in a Chicago studio, kindly hosted by a current Graduate Assistant while I await round one of assistantship interviews tomorrow.
Since the last time I checked in, I’ve been invited to attend Preview Days at both universities I was admitted to. Thankfully, I received interview offers for 7 positions between the two programs. So much time, work, and energy has brought me to this point; this is the big leagues!
As I enter four straight days of Preview Days in two different states, I’m doing my best keep my mind open to the possibilities—I’m prepared to feel out of place, to fall in love with a calling, and to consider where my passions lie most.
Nothing is for sure yet, but I’m giving it my best shot.
