The power of the higher ed staff community is so amazing—after announcing the collective on Sept. 1, just a few days later, I have already had multiple kindhearted, generous professionals from within and outside Stanford reach out to volunteer their time as guest speakers, workshop facilitators, panelists, and more during our meetings this coming fall.
I’m thrilled to share some early information about the upcoming collective gatherings and how we can uplift one another as higher ed staff colleagues across the country. Please save the dates and share this broadly with any staff in higher ed who are experiencing job loss or just trying to discern what might be the right next career step given the heavy changes we’re experiencing in the education world.
As I mentioned in my initial announcement about the Higher Education Staff Hope Collective, we plan to have regular, no-cost gatherings that take place virtually. These will be held via Zoom every other Thursday from 6:30-8pm PT / 9:30-11pm ET beginning on Sept. 18, 2025.
