On this exact day one year ago, I interviewed for the Assistant Resident Director position at Seattle University during Preview Days. I came away with a grab-bag of emotions. I remember wondering if someone like myself could really make it here. At points, I thought this place was not possible for me and I shouldn’t have come. There was so much competition and this one interview could make all the difference.
It’s one year later and I’m closing out my second quarter of graduate school in Seattle. That interview changed the course of my life. I’m achieving my goals and making it in a place I did not think could be for me. I’m here.
